The Green Lovers Eye Earrings feature brightly coloured green hearts with brown eyes. Each pair is made of cherry wood and your choice of gold filled or sterling silver findings.
The Lover's eye motif dates back to Victorian times, originally the tiny eye jewels were given as a gift, often by a secret lover. The idea was that only the recipient would be able to recognise the tiny portrait, allowing them to wear the jewels in public without giving away their lovers identity.
The tradition has long since died out, but the fascination with heart and eye jewellery lives on making these a cute gift for a friend, a lover or yourself, of course!
